Yakima County Safe Medication Disposal

Looking for a safe and responsible way to dispose of unwanted household medications?

Washington’s Safe Medication Return program is here to help! Easily find drop-off kiosks or order free mail-back supplies by visiting medtakebackwashington.org or calling 844-4-TakeBack (844-482-5322).

Additionally, Safe Yakima Valley is excited to host sites for the National Take Back Day events in April and October across Yakima, Toppenish, and Grandview. These events provide a great opportunity to safely discard medications and contribute to our community’s health.

Interested in volunteering? If you or your organization would like to support our Drug Take Back events, please visit our contact page and get involved. Together, we can make a difference!

Protect your loved ones and community from the hidden dangers of leftover medication. When you fill a prescription, ask your pharmacist if they have Dispose Rx packets (drug disposal packets) to discard your unused medications safely!
