Supporting youth and families to create a Safe Yakima Valley.
Why Safe Yakima Valley?
At Safe Yakima Valley, we focus on prevention. We arm youth and families with tools, education, and activities to empower them to make positive choices to create opportunities for success. One way we do this is through the Safe Yakima Valley Youth Mentoring Program. We match youth ages 10-17 who have been adversely impacted by opioids with caring mentors.
We support a drug-free community.
Life can be very difficult for youth today. In addition to the normal pressures, many of our youth have struggled through COVID-19.
Safe Yakima Valley works with our local schools to provide drug-free education and resources. We're working with our community to give today's youth (tomorrow's leaders) real opportunities to choose a healthy, drug-free path forward.
