The purpose of the Partnership for Success funding is to address two major goals for the coalition
Establish and strengthen collaboration in the community to reduce and prevent youth substance misuse.
Reduce substance use among youth by reducing risk factors and increasing protective factors that minimize the risk of substance misuse.
Our Vision
The vision of our coalition is to have a Yakima County where our youth are healthy, drug-free, and have equal access to health resources.

With the support of our coalition, we can make this vision possible. The coalition meetings aim to provide a space for all sectors (Business, Health Care, Parent, Law Enforcement, Media, Schools, Youth Serving Organizations, Civic/Volunteer Groups, Religious/Fraternal Organizations, Youth, State/Local/Tribal Government, and Substance Abuse Organizations) to collaborate and coordinate community services with the goal of substance use prevention. It provides us an opportunity to foster community togetherness and serve as a catalyst for change through education and advocacy.
We implement evidence-based practices that have demonstrated effectiveness in reducing youth substance use within our community. Our approach to substance prevention focuses on educating and empowering our youth and targeting the distinct needs of each community in a holistic and culturally competent manner. We stand by the saying, "Nothing about us without us".
